3.Application/Usage of CMC:Oil drilling grade CMC used in fracturing fluid, drilling fluid and well cementing fluid as fluid loss controller and tackifier. It can protect the shaft wall and prevent mud loss thus enhance recovery efficiency.CMC can be applied to the ceramic body, the glaze slip and fancy glaze. CMC is a good thickener which can increase the plasticity of sediment materials to facilitate the forming of ceramic body, and enhance the breaking strength of flakes. CMC used in the glaze slip and fancy glaze can be as the adhesive agents and take effects of suspension, deflocculationand water retention.(1). CMC for ceramics features uniform distribution of substituents (carboxymethyl group) on the cellulose backbone. It produces fewer gel granules in glaze formulation.(2).
